Information handled by the app

Charge Monitor reads power and battery telemetry made available by macOS and supported Mac hardware. This information is used only on your Mac to display current readings, optional battery details, and a rolling 15-minute chart.

The chart is held in memory and discarded when Charge Monitor quits. Preferences such as refresh interval, selected menu-bar readings, optional battery-detail visibility, notch feedback, and launch-at-login choice are stored locally using macOS system settings until you change them or remove the app’s preferences.

Data collection and sharing

The app has no accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking, or network functionality. The developer does not receive app telemetry, device identifiers, usage history, or diagnostic data from Charge Monitor. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Support correspondence

If you email support, the developer receives the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, Mac model, macOS version, app version, and message. This information is used only to answer your request, prevent abuse, and keep any legally required business records. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing hello@thebes.dev, subject to records the developer must retain by law.

This website

This is a static Cloudflare Pages website. It uses no cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, account system, contact form, or remote fonts. Cloudflare may process standard connection information needed to deliver the site under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. The developer does not receive a visitor-level analytics feed from this site.

Children’s privacy

Charge Monitor is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. Because the app does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If Charge Monitor’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is released. The effective date at the top of this policy will also be revised.

License

Charge Monitor is licensed, not sold. Unless a custom agreement is presented in the App Store, your license is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms supplement that agreement; if they conflict, the applicable App Store license controls.

Permitted use

You may use Charge Monitor for lawful, personal or business informational purposes on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to the App Store usage rules. You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt to use it in violation of applicable law or the governing license.

Measurement limits

Charge Monitor reports or derives measurements from telemetry exposed by macOS and supported Mac hardware. Sensor availability, timing, and precision vary by model and operating state. Readings are provided for general information and may be delayed, estimated, rounded, or unavailable. They are not a certified electrical measurement, billing instrument, safety system, or professional diagnostic tool.

Availability and updates

The app may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued. Features can differ by Mac model or macOS version. There is no promise that every sensor or measurement will remain available after hardware, firmware, or operating-system changes.

Purchases and refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple. Billing, cancellation, and refund eligibility are governed by the App Store terms and Apple’s applicable policies.

Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Charge Monitor is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond rights that cannot legally be excluded. The developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date and will apply prospectively as permitted by law.
